Getting Here
Located near Sadhna (Sadna) Pass/NC Pass in Karnah, Kupwara (J&K), the Centre celebrates the rich artistic heritage of the Pahari region. Access is primarily by road via NH701 from Kupwara towards Tangdhar.

By Bus
There is no city bus network to Karnah. Shared cabs/Sumo services run from Kupwara, Trehgam and Handwara to Tangdhar/Karnah. Timings vary by season—confirm locally and verify that Sadhna Pass is open before travel.
By Train
No direct rail connectivity to Karnah. The nearest major railheads are Baramulla and Srinagar; continue by road via Kupwara to NH701 (approx. 3–6 hours onward by vehicle depending on season and road conditions).
On Foot
From the NC Pass roadhead/parking, it’s a short walk along the main road to the Centre. Altitude and weather can change quickly—dress warm and allow extra time in winter.

Is admission free?
General admission to our permanent galleries is free for citizens and residents on most days. Special exhibitions may require tickets.
How do I book tickets?
Tickets for special exhibitions and programs can be booked online. On-site purchase is subject to availability.
When is the Museum open?
We are open daily 10am – 7pm and till 9pm on Fridays. Last admission is 30 minutes before closing.
What can I bring?
Bags larger than A4 size must be stored. Food and drinks are not allowed in the galleries.
Do you have maps, guides and tours?
Yes. Pick up a map at the information counter. Guided tours are available on selected days; check our events calendar.
